A book co-authored by employees of the ANAS Shaki Regional Scientific Center, Yusif Rahimov and Qafqaz Aghabalayev, entitled “The Nature of the North-Western Region of Azerbaijan in Ecogeographical Studies” has been released. Published by “Savad” Publishing House, the book is dedicated to the scientific activities of the Laboratory for the Study of Mudflows, which has been operating within the structure of the ANAS Shaki Regional Scientific Center since 1991 (34 years), as well as the Department of Ecological Geography, established in 2015 on the basis of this laboratory in honor of the Center’s 50^th anniversary.

The publication presents the research work conducted and the results obtained in the study of ecogeographical problems and the ecotourism potential of the north-western region of Azerbaijan.

The book is intended for the scientific community, undergraduate and graduate students specializing in geography and ecology, academic staff working in this field, and a wide readership.
