A monograph by Rahim Hasanov, PhD in History and Head of Department at the Shaki Regional Scientific Center, entitled “Leaders of the Azerbaijani National Movement on the Road to Independence (February 1917 – May 1918)”, has been released. The book discusses the activities of Azerbaijani political figures during 1917-1918 – one of the richest and significant periods in the history of our nation and examines their ideological orientation. Following the fall of Tsarist Russia, the processes of political organization in Azerbaijan, the shifts observed in the ideological views of political leaders and their positions regarding the establishment of an independent state form the core of the research.

Alongside analyzing the activities of political figures, the researcher also presents their socio-political profiles to readers. Published by “Savad” Publishing House, the book approaches the decentralist evolution of the national movement through the prism of political actors.
