The book “Regional Bayatis: (A Collection of bayatis collected from the districts of Balakan, Zaqatala, Qakh, and Shaki)”, prepared by the staff of the Shaki Regional Scientific Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) has been published. Issued by “Savad” Publishing House, the book is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of ANAS and the 50th anniversary of the Shaki Regional Scientific Center.

The publication includes examples of bayati collected over many years by the folklore research group of the Shaki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS from the northwestern region of Azerbaijan. The presented bayatis reflect the worldview and mindset of the local population — instilling love for the homeland, nature, and humanity, as well as feelings of hatred toward enemies and all kinds of vile qualities.

The book is intended for a wide range of readers interested in regional folklore.
