The monograph “Chemistry and Biological Activity of Hydrazine Derivatives” authored by Parizad Fatullayeva, a researcher at the Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education, has been published.

The book released by “Savad” Publishing House is dedicated to compounds containing hydrazine fragments which form part of various types of organic substances widely used in many fields of science, technology, and medicine. The aim of the work is to review literature materials on various hydrazide/hydrazone derivatives published over the last decade including the author’s own publications. The monograph provides information on previously unknown reduced hydrazone ligands and their metal complexes, their properties, and their biological activity. The functional potential of hydrazine derivatives highlights the necessity for continued research in this direction which may ultimately lead to the development of new effective pharmaceutical drugs.
