This book is dedicated to the 50-year scientific and organizational activity of the Shaki Regional Scientific Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The collection presents the results of scientific research conducted in various fields, including the use of local plant and animal resources of the northwestern region of Azerbaijan, the study of natural monuments, research on the region’s history and cultural heritage, soil erosion prevention, protection and development of forests and vegetation cover, the regional geochemistry of the area, preparation of proposals for fighting with flood waves, studies on cultivated and promising plant species of the area, geographical potential for the development prospects of economically related useful sectors, local raw material resources, complex methods of silkworm cocoon production, folklore studies, traditional handicrafts, and other related fields.
