The journal “Processes of Petrochemistry and Oil Refining” (PPOR) was founded in 2000 by the Institute of Petrochemical Processes named after Academician Y.H. Mammadaliyev. Published four times a year in English, the journal publishes articles on vital problems of petrochemical and oil refining processes. The journal is included in the “Inspec” database (2011), the “Web of Science” database (2016), and the “Thomson Reuters” (Web of Science) Clarivate Analytics scientometric database (2017).

The editor-in-chief of the journal is Academician Vagif Abbasov, the deputy editors-in-chief are Academician Oleg Sinyashin and Academician Vagif Farzaliyev. The responsible secretary for chemical sciences is Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry Mehriban Naghiyeva and the responsible secretary for technical sciences is Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Zaur Aghamaliyev.
